We depart Manila in the early morning for Puerto Princesa, the capital city of Palawan. We then transfer by van to the small coastal village of Sabang, located at the foot of St. Paul’s Mountain range and the gateway to The New Seven Wonders of Nature – Puerto Princesa Subterranean River. Dinner and overnight in the resort.

After breakfast is a trip we explore the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River. We are escorted in on small 6-person paddleboats where we can see amazing stalactite and stalagmite formations as well as 40-metter high ceilings and enormous chambers. Some of these chambers have incredibly tall and intact columns. After the tour, we will hike back to Sabang via Monkey Trail (hiking time approximately 1.5 hours) that takes us through limestone forests and in another great place for bird watching. After lunch, we depart for the scenic bay of Taytay passing through the scenic towns of Roxas and Vicente. Our home will be El Nido Resorts Apulit Island, which has a beautiful house reef that we will explore to the fullest after lunch. In the late afternoon, enjoy the sunset by the beach. Apulit Island is nearby Nabat Island where surrounding reefs are some of the nicest in the entire bay. We will spend the entire morning exploring the beauty of the coral and marvel at the schools of dazzling reef fish. In the afternoon, we may visit Noa-Noa reef, a locally protected island that boasts of some of the most diverse fish assemblages in the bay. Overnight at El Nido Resorts Apulit Island.

We depart in the early morning for Taytay Airstrip, where a van awaits and bring us to El NIdo Airport (travel time is approximately two hours). From here, we board a boat for Bay. Check-in and overnight at El Nido Resorts Miniloc Island.

El Nido MIniloc offers a wonderful variety of sites, and we spend the day exploring hidden lagoons and fantastic reefs around the island. The water here is naturalist’s paradise, with more than 400 species of coral and more than 800 species of fish, including butterfly fish, parrot fish, wrasse, triggerfish, angelfish, surgeonfish, damselfish, emperoros, snappers, groupers and rabbitfish. After lunch we paddle in Big Lagoon, a larger version of Small Lagoon with similar vertical marble cliffs. This lagoon has smaller bays, some that we access via tunnel that lead to quite areas fringed with tidal mangrove stands. Snorkel in Big Lagoon reveals a unique marine community of dozens of species of juvenile fish and rare corals. Overnight at El Nido Resorts Miniloc Island.

Rest of the day will be spent free and leisure, until it is time to transfer back to El Nido Airport for your return flight back to Manila.
